Combining Damo's love of wrestling with Ant's love of performing was an obvious choice. Even though the pair live at opposite ends of the UK, they worked through lockdowns to bring this fireball of comedy chaos to life. The show launched in 2020, and soon found audiences in over 70 countries, including the UK, US, large parts of Europe, and Iran. In 2023, the creators started Podomedy the podcast comedy network, to collaborate and develop new and existing shows. To-date, Wrestling With the Champ has received nominations for multiple awards, and hopes to win one someday.
Post-Covid, tThe Ginger Ninja and Damo started performing live as their alter-egos for the very first time.

Not all ideas are great ones. This, however, was one of the best. During the long, hot summer of 2023, The Champ decided to test his abilities in a different kind of ring... One filled with cold, sticky, gravy. And while he wasn't crowned the champion, he did make a good fist of things.
Damo sadly couldn't make it, but at least you have video evidence to prove that it actually took place. Something to tell the grandkids, I suppose.
Wrestling With the Champ: Chortle Combat is coming to the big smoke.
